Here it is - cancel that order for your dad's Christmas present.

Make one of these instead - I have got 3 orders already!

Day 18: Crown for nativity

Here we are - first of nativity stuff.

Simple crown taken by cutting a mid-section through a six-pinter.

My eldest son wanted to get on this even though his head is way too big!!

Day 17: Sand-pit kit

I wish I was still living by the sea-side!

This is the most technical creation yet - with moving parts.

Day 16: Photo/Card Holder

I have to say that I just love this. Simple, but very effective. Suggested by my eldest son, who had the biggest grin when I said I would include it. Fantastic for all those special photos and Christmas cards. I now have the model on my desk.

Day 15: Pig!

Slightly obvious but nevertheless very cute!

...and you know that credit-crunch has bitten hard when you can't even afford a real money box!

My lads have played around with this watch idea for a while - also got Jordan L to thank who was the initial beneficiary of the model.

Day 13: Shoe storage

I had to drink a lot of milk to make this one.

...almost lactose intolerant! (thanks HR)

Advent-ure calendar Day 12: Bowl and spoon

Breakfast for my wife in bed doesn't get anymore

romantic than this.

The spoon/bowl is also a fail-safe for campers who might have forgotten the cutlery and crockery!!

Day 11: Lamp:shade

Move over IKEA

With "handy-handle" to direct light where needed!

Day 10: String dispenser

This feels like an item from the "practical Housholder" magazine circa 1948.
Re-using the milk carton, saving a blade from an old pencil sharpener.
A must for every shed-shelf

Day 9: Advent-ure - Glasses

Star Wars was on the other night - and I swear Anakin was wearing a pair of these!!

Many thanks to JR who assaulted me in Morrisons with this creation - and I was left to wear them up and down the aisles.

Perfect party-outfit addition! My youngest son will be parading them that's for sure.

Day 8: Carton-face!

Make some people laugh this week and turn a mundane "making the tea" into a fun activity.

You will look at milk cartons in a different light now and see that it resembles someone in your family or office or school.

Draw their face on the side and see what happens!!

Day 7 Advent-ure calendar: Snowman

Had tonnes of snow up here recently - but unfortunately didn't get to make real one of these.

However here is one that I've got to thank my boys for. They saw something similar and came up with this version

Day 6 Advent-ure Calendar: Pooper Scooper

This is the classic! The original milk carton adaptation. I have gone for the dog-walker's-best-friend-design complete with inserted bag..

..but once you've mastered the scoop design you could use it on various carton sizes. 1 pinters work brilliantly for this.

You can then scoop poop, cereal, washing powder, gravel or pick 'n' mix (not necessarily with same carton!)
